Measles
Measles is a childhood infection caused by a virus. Measles is very common in the U.S.A.
Symptoms:Cough, runny nose, inflamed eyes, sore throat, fever and a red, blotchy skin rash.
Causes:Measles is caused by a virus called Paramyxovirus. It is highly contagious.
Spread:It is spread when a person coughs, sneezes, or shares food or drinks. The measles virus can travel through air.
Diagnosis:A doctor diagnoses measles based on the disease's characteristic rash as well as a small, bluish white spot on a bright red background.
Prevention: Stay away from an infected person and get vaccinated.
